Pupils at Trinity First School took a trip back to 1912 recently when they took part in a Titanic-themed day.
The children in Year 2 experienced first-class and third-class dining and recreated scenes from the ship using a green screen. They were also history detectives for the day and looked at the evidence to work out what the key reasons that caused such a big disaster.
“The children have absolutely loved this topic and have had to call on all of their enquiry skills to gather information and form opinions,” says a spokesperson for the school, Sarah.
“Dressing up and having a Titanic day is a memorable experience for the children which helps them to imagine what life would have been like.”
