To mark the fourth International Climate Film Festival in Frome, young people are being invited to submit a story or picture themed around the climate.
The festival returns to the Cheese and Grain on 18th May, with an Awards Celebration Day taking place at Rook Lane Chapel on 25th May.
Screenings will showcase films about the climate, created by people from across the world. The entries will be judged by a panel that includes students from Frome College.
To further engage and work with young people, the festival is launching a storytelling and art competition in collaboration with Frome-based bookshop, Sherlock & Pages.
Young people are invited to submit a story or picture that includes four or more of the following words: green, planet, family, nature, waste, environment, ecosystem, tree, river, land, local, global, community, help, care, and support.
Stories should be no more than 200 words. Entries can be submitted into the following age categories: Under 8, 8 to 12, 12 to 16, and 16 and over.
Sherlock & Pages have donated prizes for the winners. Entries should be submitted by 10th May via email to fromeclimatefilmfestival@gmail.com
